GAME NOTES: With RB Marcus Cadiz recovering from a shoulder surgery, quarterback Brian Perez has played a bigger role for the Eagles. He had three TD passes last week, two to Carter Morse and one to Julio Vara. The Eagles are off to their first 2-0 start since starting 7-0 in 2001. The Eagles gained 450 yards of offense last week. Evergreen rushed for 211 yards against Heritage, led by Eli Vaa-Leiataua’s 113 yards. Four turnovers hurt the Plainsmen last week. Zyell Griffin has rushed for 110 yards in two games.
