Union, Camas stars prepare for all-star basketball game

Union standouts Riley Hawken and Micah Paulson, who both made the all-tournament team at the Class 4A state boys basketball tournament, as well as Camas’ Trevor Jasinsky are listed on the rosters for this weekend’s WIBCA All-State Game.

The Washington Interscholastic Basketball Coaches Association’s All-State games will be Saturday at Eastside Catholic High School in Sammamish.

The 1B vs. 2B game will be at 2 p.m., the 1A vs. 2A game will be at 4 p.m., and the 3A vs. 4A game will tip-off at 6 p.m.

Hawken, Paulson, and Jasinsky on the 4A team.

Cost is $10 for adults, $8 for seniors and high school students.

The event also will honor the coaches association’s players of the year:
Mr. Basketball (Washington’s top basketball player): Dejounte Murray, Rainier Beach
4A player of the year: Viont’e Daniels, Federal Way
3A player of the year: Matisse Thybulle, Eastside Catholic
2A player of the year: Scott Hastings, Lynden
1A co-players of the year: Justin Densmore, Zillah, and Jessie Norton, Vashon Island
2B player of the year: Zack Walton, Morton-White Pass
1B player of the year: Tyler Thurman, Garfield-Palouse
