Seattle Times release state rankings in football, volleyball and girls soccer

The Seattle Times released its Week 1 high school state rankings for football and its debut rankings for girls soccer and volleyball.

All state rankings are for Class 4A, 3A and 2A, and the football rankings included Union, Camas, Hockinson.

At 4A, Union moved up two slots to No. 3 after bumping off previously-No. 2 Federal Way. Camas moved up two spots to No. 5 after beating previously-No. 3 Chiawana.

In 2A, Hockinson held firm at No. 5 after beat La Center.

In girls soccer, the first 4A rankings has Union at No. 8 and Camas at No. 9. Columbia River is No. 7 in 3A. At 2A, Hockinson is No. 7 and Ridgefield No. 10.

In volleyball, Battle Ground is third in 4A, followed by Camas at No. 4. Columbia River is No. 3 in 3A. At 2A, Ridgefield is No. 7 and R.A. Long is No. 10.
