Sunny 1550 AM will broadcast high school football again
There’s another Ron Soanka touchdowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwn.
Ron Soanka, who has been a voice of Southwest Washington high school sports in various capacities going on two decades now, announced Wednesday that Sunny 1550 AM will continue its live coverage of Friday night football games from McKenzie Stadium.
The stadium, which is the home field for Evergreen, Heritage, Mountain View, and Union high schools, usually has doubleheaders on Friday nights. All Friday games from the stadium will be broadcast.
Soanka will call the games and Rodney Lawrence will provide the commentary. Dan O’Dell will continue as the crew’s stat guy, as well as some additional duties, Soanka said.
The first Friday of the 2013 Washington high school football season is Sept. 6.
