Tuesday's (3/27) prep highlights

BASEBALL

Battle Ground 2, Heritage 1: Hayden Humphrey went 3 for 4 with two doubles, including the go-ahead double that drove home Brandon Knight in the top of the seventh inning as the Tigers remained unbeaten in the 4A Greater St. Helens League.

Camas 7, Fort Vancouver 3: Dylan Harris threw six shutout innings, striking out eight to lead the Papermakers to a 3A GSHL win.

Mountain View 5, Hudson’s Bay 4, 8 innings: The Thunder scored runs in the top of the seventh to tie the game and top of the eighth to win it. Jai Girod hit a two-run home run in the bottom of the sixth to give Bay a 4-3 lead.

SOFTBALL

Ridgefield 12-3, Toledo 2-5: Shannon Boyle struck out 11 batters over five innings in the opener as the Spudders earned at Trico League doubleheader split.

BOYS SOCCER

Battle Ground 2, Evergreen 1: Austyn Lundeen and Cody Henderson scored goals to send the Plainsmen to their fourth consecutive 4A GSHL loss.

Union 2, Heritage 1: Nathaniel Cheney and Danny Cohen had goals as the Titans remained in second place in the 4A GSHL.

Prairie 3, Fort Vancouver 0: Igor Shapoval had a goal and an assists as the Falcons remained one loss behind Camas in the 3A GSHL.

Camas 3, Columbia River 0: Adam Allison and Nathan Beasley had unassisted goals as the Papermakers improved to 6-0 on the season.

Washougal 1, Mark Morris 0, PKs: Sam O’Hara, Michael Wright, Elesey Razumovskiey and Spencer Carnera converted penalty kicks during the shootout to carry the Panthers to victory.

King’s Way Christian 4, Castle Rock: Goalkeeper Sebastian Baker recorded 12 saves and even assisted on one of Connor Gilroy’s three goals in a Trico League win for the Knights.

Ridgefield 3, Seton Catholic 0: Taylor Konkright scored two goals as the Spudders handed Seton Catholic its first loss of the year.

Stevenson 5, Toledo 0: Casey Wallace had a goal and an assists for the Bulldogs.

Mountain View 4, Skyview 3: Myles Belnavis scored three goals, including the game-winner in the second half as the Thunder won a non-league match.

BOYS TRACK AND FIELD

Union 90, Skyview 55: Micah Merfeld won four events, Treve Ensley put up two solid times in winning the 100 and 200 and Joe Thompson cleared 14-9 to win the pole vault for the Titans.

GIRLS TRACK AND FIELD

Skyview 81, Union 69: Emily Morrison won the 100 hurdles and triple jump and Taylor Barrus won the discus and javelin to lead Skyview. Union’s Alexis Fuller swept all three distance events.

GIRLS GOLF

Union 188, Skyview 189: Junior Olivia Vedder shot a personal-best 47 and sank a 6-foot putt on the final hole to lift Union to a narrow 4A GSHL win. Belex Cheng shot a 43 for medalist honors. Emma Wriston shot a 44 for Skyview.

Mountain View 185, Hudson’s Bay 224: Clarisa Witherup shot a 44 to lead Mountain View to a solid score at Fairway Village

Columbia River 235, Fort Vancouver inc.: River’s Chloe Bartek shot a 2-over 39 for medalist honors.
