Skyview’s Benson retires from coaching
Bob Benson says he is retired as a boys basketball coach.
Benson, who has coached the Skyview Storm for the past nine seasons, told his players on Wednesday that he would not be returning. He also was the head coach at Hudson’s Bay for nine seasons and has more than 30 years of high school coaching experience in Clark County.
Benson, who retired as a teacher four years ago, said the time felt right to end his time in the huddle.
In other Skyview coaching news, Carri Smith has taken over as the school’s volleyball coach, replacing Cheyanne Knight.
