What’s Next For Yakima Bears?

Having been told by Vancouver that, “We don’t like your kind around here,” the Yakima Bears are now in the middle of a tug-of-war between two cities in the Portland area.

Hillsboro and Milwaukie are in varying stages of pursuing stadiums for the Single-A team, and the Northwest League might eventually have to choose one or the other. Or they might need to find a way around the rules to allow two teams in the Portland market.

One thing is certain: There won’t be a team in Vancouver any time soon.
