First Saturday in Ridgefield Celebrates Fitness

Dessie Brice of Tailored Fitness will lead a warm up session at Davis Park (3rd & Main) before the 10 kilometer fun run/walk this morning, hosted by Get Bold Events.

The Community Center (210 North Main Avenue) will offer classes in yoga, Zumba, cardio fitness, jump rope, running, hand drumming, etc. throughout the day. There will be healthy cooking and eating demonstrations, and the farmers’ market and the Ridgefield Arts Association will be at the Community Center too. Local vendors will offer information and/or sell products and services: physical therapy, massage therapy, chiropractic care, nutrition, essential oils and skin care. The Ridgefield Fire Department will also be on hand.

You can make your own jump rope next door at the library starting at 10am. At 2pm kids under 12 can play Quidditch at Davis Park using proto-brooms made out of dowels. Spectators are encouraged.

All-in-all, a good way to start the year with your health in mind.
