Ridgefield Main Street Program News

Thanks to everyone who came out to September’s Informational Meeting, concerning the formation of a Main Street program to work on revitalizing downtown Ridgefield. Main Street Programs are the number one method used to liven up downtowns and encourage economic development in them, all across the United States.

As part of the next steps of discussing and planning for a potential Main Street program in Ridgefield, the Ridgefield Business Association is having a special meeting on October 30th at 5:30 PM in the big room at the community center. As the last meeting was purely informational, this meeting will only briefly review what Main Street programs do. Most of the time will be spent discussing how a program might work here, what it would do, and who might partner with it.

The primary organizer and lead contact person for this Main Street program effort is Frank Shuman. Frank can be emailed at frank@ellipsisgraphics.com or called at 360.980.1717
