Former Portland Trail Blazers No. 1 overall pick Greg Oden is reportedly working out for teams in an attempt to get back into the league again.

Shams Charania of RealGM.com reports that the former Blazers center will workout for the Dallas Mavericks in their free-agent minicamp this week.

After Oden took a few years off to recover–after his time with the Blazers ended–he signed with the Miami Heat last season. He never really found his place in Miami.

Then in the offseason he was arrested on a battery charge in a domestic violence incident with his former girlfriend. He was reportedly fined $202 as well as 26 weeks of domestic violence counseling and 900+ days of probation.

According to Charania, Oden has also worked out for the Memphis Grizzlies and the Charlotte Hornets.

According to Tim MacMahon of ESPN.com, Oden’s decision to sign with the Miami Heat in 2013-14 came down to the Heat and the Mavericks.

The Mavericks of course are also rumored to be in the hunt for Blazers’ free-agent and Dallas native LaMarcus Aldridge.

It’d be pretty crazy after everything that’s happened if Oden and Aldridge ended up with the same team after all these years.
