Portland Trail Blazers big man Robin Lopez was joined by a big fan of his, five year-old Austin, at Friday’s practice.

“We had a good time,” Lopez said. “The kid knows how to party.”

Lopez said that Austin’s visit was set up by the Blazers organization.

Lopez and Austin did some dancing and Lopez was doing drawings on the whiteboard inside the practice facility during the portion of practice open to the media.

After the dancing and the drawing, Lopez gave Austin replica of his game jersey for him to take with him.

“Oh he was excited,” Lopez said. “He saw that we were wearing the same number, 42. That was fun. That was exciting for me.”

According to Robin, Austin is both a Blazers fan and a Robin Lopez fan.

“He has good taste,” Lopez said. “LaMarcus walked up to him and he said ‘who are you?’ So I think that’s the only time that will ever happen in the history of the world.”

In the video above you can see that Thomas Robinson joined with Lopez and Austin.

Whatever the reasoning for the visit, it was a heartwarming moment at the Blazers practice.
