Los Angeles Clippers forward received his 16th technical foul of the season in their 117-105 win against the Denver Nuggets on Tuesday.

As a result of the 16th technical, Blake Griffin will be suspended for one game without pay, which he will serve on Wednesday against the Trail Blazers. The announcement was made by the league’s President of Basketball Operations Rod Thorn.

From the release from the NBA:

Griffin received his most recent technical foul with 3:23 remaining in the second quarter of the Clippers’ 117-105 win over the Denver Nuggets on April 15, at Staples Center. Griffin will serve his suspension in the Clippers’ season finale on Wednesday, April 16, when Los Angeles visits the Portland Trail Blazers at Moda Center.

Although the Clippers don’t have Griffin, should the Oklahoma City Thunder lose to the lowly Detroit Pistons, they can claim the number two seed in the West with a victory.

Tip-off for tonight’s Blazers-Clippers match-up will be at 7:30 PM on ESPN and KGW.
