Highlights from Roy’s All-Star selection press conference

— Roy called Memphis Grizzlies forward Zach Randolph, who formerly played for the Blazers, to congratulate him on his first-ever NBA All-Star selection.

— Roy said he is excited to play at Cowboys Stadium before at least 85,000 fans.

— Roy said the Blazers team are still in a good place and no one is pointing fingers following two tough losses.

— Roy said he is looking forward to playing against Oklahoma City Thunder forward Kevin Durant, and added he’s glad to no longer be the youngest player in the game.

— Roy said his hamstring felt much better today. He hopes to play next Monday against the Charlotte Bobcats at the Rose Garden.
  
— Roy said the first people he called were his parents. But he forgot to tell his mother he was an All-Star until the end of the conversation.

— Roy on not being voted an All-Star by NBA fans: ‘I’m just happy being the Blazers’ No. 1 player.’
