Pod Save America wants you to donate to Long

Everyone apparently wants to have a say in Washington’s 3rd Congressional District race.

Even Jon Favreau of Pod Save America is jumping in.

Favreau and fellow Pod Save America hosts partnered with a data firm to curate a list of 20 House races where voters can get the most “bang for your buck.” The list, released Thursday on Twitter, includes a donation platform that splits contributions between 20 Democratic candidates.

On that list is Democrat Carolyn Long who’s running against Rep. Jaime Herrera Beutler. Despite Washington’s three competitive House races this election cycle, Long is the only candidate to make the donation list.

The theory behind the 20-member list is that funding in these races will help flip the House.

“In fact, according to the Head of Political Data Science at Civis, every dollar you donate toward this list of races would generate roughly 2.2 times as many votes than if you just donated to the 20 closest races across the country,” according to the list’s announcement.

“We’re thrilled that folks interested in protecting the healthcare of millions of Americans and lowering the cost of prescription drugs are supporting our grassroots campaign to help take back the House,” said Will Casey, spokesperson for the Long campaign. “Our campaign has been fueled by individual small dollar donors from the start, and this is just the latest surge of enthusiasm we’ve seen.”
