Marc Boldt’s parting gift from C-Tran

Tuesday marked the final C-Tran board meeting of 2012, and the final meeting for Clark County Commissioner Marc Boldt as a board member.

But Boldt, who was defeated in the November election, didn’t leave without a parting gift:

No, not the lanyard. That’s a piece of a blown Michelin tire hanging from the end of it — meant to symbolize Boldt’s service during a “particularly tumultuous” time for the agency, according to C-Tran Executive Director Jeff Hamm.

Boldt also received praise for his ability to end meetings relatively quickly while he was board chair. Reporters appreciate that, too. (Are you listening, chair Larry Smith?)
